2. Uso de to dare como auxiliar modal (to dare = atreverse)

Se utiliza únicamente en secuencias interrogativas y negativas.

 

I dare not tell it in words, no me atrevo a contarlo con palabras

he daren't tell it, no se atrevía a contarlo

Jane dared not go to dentist's, Jane no se atrevió a ir al dentista

 

 

to dare, auxiliar modal, no debe confundirse con el verbo principal to dare atreverse, desafiar, que tiene todas las formas como cualquier otro verbo regular.
